The Messy Middle - Finding Your Way Through the Hardest and Most Crucial Part of Any Bold Venture
How much do I want to read more? 6/10
Might be a good book. I rated it only 6/10 because it's not so relevant to me right now. Maybe later.
What I like is it's debunking some myths about entrepreneur projects and startup, the author is getting real about it.
About what matters, about what it is all about. Because he already saw the whole picture of a project several times.
THE MESSY MIDDLE
TThe journey of creating something from nothing is a volatile one. While we love talking about starts and finishes, the middle miles are more important, seldom discussed, and wildly misunderstood.
When the odds are against you, without revenue or margin to protect you, teams and relationships are different. It’s not work; it’s survival and self-discovery.
Whether you’re a writer, start-up entrepreneur, big-company innovator, or an artist, you share many of the same hopes and fears.
the middle is extraordinarily volatile—a continual sequence of ups and downs, expansions and contractions. Once the honeymoon period of starting a new journey dissipates, reality hits you. Hard. You feel lost and then you find a new direction; you make progress and then you stumble.
